The second democratic debate is set to air tonight at 6PM PST and will feature the current two front runners for the Democratic party’s nomination, former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. They are are joined by eight other lesser known candidates for the nomination who are undoubtedly looking to this debate as a mechanism to up their national standing. While the two front runners will likely look to stay defensive in this debate and simply maintain their standing until later debates, when the field is narrower, this debate could still have profound ramifications for years to come. This is especially true if we see one of the smaller candidate break out in a big way and become a viable presidential candidate.
