Steve Gunderson, a long time associate of presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg, was arrested last night as he was attempting to break into a server farm in northern California at approximately 2:30 AM last night. The arresting officer reports that he was carrying a tank of gasoline at the time and appeared “calm and deliberate.” Once police officers made their presence known, Mr. Gunderson promptly surrendered and consented to being searching. On his person, the arresting officer found several thousand dollars in cash and a small note with an unspecified IP address and the word “HPANA.” Connect Technologies, the owners of the server farm in question, has confirmed to police and reporters that the archive for the first six years of the HPANA(or Harry Potter Automatic News Aggregator) internet forums are stored inside the location at which Mr. Gunderson was arrested.
Steve Gunderson’s personal attorney has issued a statement suggesting that this is all just one big misunderstanding and his client was merely having car trouble and was seeking assistance. So far Pete Buttigieg’s campaign has declined to comment but we will keep you updated as the political climate adjusts to these new revelations. Connect Technologies has vowed to increase security at their server farms so as to avoid a repeat of the infamous 2016 incident in which their literotica.com archive was compromised by Russian hackers.
