A well known leaker on Resetera has provided some hints for what surprises Google has for their first Stadia PAX panel. Whilst the leaker choose to omit any specific titles, he did say that Google will reveal the final lineup for the Stadia soft launch. The leaker indicated that gamers will likely find the launch lineup to be noticeably sparse as it will largely rely on newer AAA multi-platform video games to show off their streaming tech. Doom: Eternal, which has already been announced for Stadia, will be featured heavily at their panel. Stadia exclusives will not be mentioned at the panel as they will not be ready at launch. However, according to the leak, they will announce several older titles from a “surprising Japanese publisher.”
The leaker also indicated that Google plans to tease their successor service to Stadia, which internal teams have codenamed “primavera.” This codename is not expected to be made official but there are tentative plans to name each major update after pasta dishes. This is similar to how Google names their Android versions after candy.
