Reports are coming in that you received an email from friend in which he expressed feelings of vulnerability and general uncertainty about where his life is going. That doesn’t sound like him but further analysis will need to be conducted to deduce if any of this perceived vulnerability was sarcastic in nature. Or if, perhaps, there was a wry comment at the end making fun of the fact that he feels like his life “has never really started, you know?”
Update: These inquiries did not return any results. This can mean only one thing. The Russians have his email.
