Earlier today, President Trump showed up to an event at the largest West Texas camp that ICE maintains to store the migrant children they currently have in custody. Reporters on the scene indicate that the president came in full Santa Claus regalia and delivered an address in front of a pile of presents. He delivered a merry Christmas message to the children centered on the Christmas traditions of law and order and closed it all out by promising an extra special Christmas surprise for “all the good girls and boys.” A small group of silent migrant children were there to see the president in person and his message was broadcast live to the rest of the nearly fifteen thousand migrant children in ICE custody.
Update: ICE representative Steve Gunderson clarified that the surprise was definitely not their freedom.
