Mere weeks before the release of their highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games has received criticism for comments made in a recent Vulture article. Critics say that the comments reveal an overly crunch based project cycle that puts deadlines before employee’s outside lives. Executive President of Rockstar PR Steve Gunderson addressed the criticism at a brief press conference by stating that “We at Rockstar Games care a great deal about our employees and we take this criticism to heart. I very literally will not rest until people’s concerns has been addressed.” Gunderson ended the press conference by accepting personal responsibility for the flak they are receiving. “Ultimately, it is my responsibility to make sure our message and corporate culture is communicated to the people. And in that, I accept sole responsibility for this miscommunication and I will personally work very, very hard to repair the damage.” said Gunderson before he and personal assistant made their departure.
