Flash polls conducted after the first Presidential debate for the 2024 election have shown a startling new paradigm begin to develop in public opinion. When asked, 63% of participants said that President Biden seemed to lack the energy and coherence required of him for another term as President while, conversely, 61% of participants said that Former President Trump showed the stamina and resolve needed to lead a fascist government overthrow of existing institutions and grind his opponents into dust.
While it is still too early to say if this debate will have a long-lasting impact on voters’ impressions of the two men, I can tell you that the Biden camp is not happy with tonight’s performance. And key members of the Democratic party are reportedly already looking for a new candidate; one with a general presence that exudes that they are not going to die.
We were to catch up with a forty-five year-old undecided voter by the name of Steven Gunderson outside of a closed-down Kmart in Wheeling West Virginia and he had this to say on the matter.
I like Joe Biden but looking at that wasn’t good. I can’t help but think that maybe this guy just can’t handle another four more years. But Donald Trump, now there is a man that I truly believe, if we elect him, he could still be making my children not want to talk to me for another twelve more years.
