This morning, Paramount Pictures announced an exclusive deal with The Tic Tac Company, once of the last remaining hold-outs in the candy space, to acquire the films right to the entire Tic Tac catalog. This deal would cover all Tic Tac and Tic Tac Gum flavors but Paramount choose to specifically call out “Fruit Adventure” in their announcement of the deal. This comes after months of rumors that Disney was looking to purchase a controlling interest in The Tic Tac Company.
Details are obviously sparse at the moment as we understand that the deal came together rather quickly, following a disapointing quarter for The TTC. However, a representative from Paramount Pictures indicated that, as they are assembling their creative team, they are focussing on young filmmakers who they feel can offer an interesting take on “the next great adventure from Paramount.”
