In what could be called a coup for Epic Games’s new digital video game marketplace, the Epic Game Store announced on their twitter that they have acquired the exclusive rights to sell 36-packs of Amazon-Basic’s double A alkaline batteries. Details on this deal are still sparse and the period of exclusivicity has not yet kicked in, as many online storefronts still list 36-packs of Amazon-Basics batteries as avaialble for purchase. We will have to wait to see how gamers and EGS’s major competitors respond to this move.
