America is in mourning after learning that Steve Gunderson, resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was found deceased. Steve was a 48 year old postal worker from a solid middle class background. His friends and congregation remember him as a dependable, good man who was “always there when you need him.” He was in California for a much needed vacation after the death of his wife last year. Steve Gunderson’s death marks the only death of a real American in a California Wildfire since the fifties.
Greg Gunderson, his eldest son and California resident, also perished in the fire.
